Honey Cask Finish is the second member of the Craftsman Cask Collection from Nelson’s Green Brier. Their standard Belle Meade Bourbon was finished for several months in two casks which held natural honey from artisan producers TruBee Honey in Tennessee. The limited distillery-only release included 300 bottles, proofed at either 113.6 or 105.9 depending on the cask.
Belle Meade Honey Cask Bourbon Whiskey Tasting Notes
Nose: Sweet on the nose, vanilla, wild flowers, honey, and a dash of cinnamon mix with aged oak.
Palate: The honey influence is clearly evident, as the palate is full of rich sweet sugars. Honey, vanilla, and a massive dose of cinnamon pull through.
Finish: The finish is long and drawing, full of baking spices, honey, and a sweet rich cinnamon spice that leaves a warming heat.

Nelson’s Green Brier Distillery is a producer of Tennessee whiskey and other spirits that was launched in 2011 and began operating a distillery in 2014 in Nashville, Tennessee.
