The Knappogue Castle 12 Year Old Marsala Cask Irish Whiskey is an insanely rare delight – only 690 bottles made. It’s a no-fake-color, non-chillfiltered Spirit matured at least for a dozen of years in ex-Bourbon oak barrels, before it was finished in Marco de Bartoli Marsala casks. Marsala is a dry and sweet fortified wine from Sicily, similar to Port, Madeira and Sherry. This triple-distilled Irish Whiskey brings the summer breeze of Sicily to the mysterious mists of Ireland.

Knappogue Castle 12 Year Old Marsala Cask Whiskey Tasting Notes

Nose: Rich malty and grainy nose with lovely notes of pepper and spices.

Palate: Balanced and fruity palate followed by notes of marshmallow, brown sugar, marzipan, vanilla and oak.

Finish: Medium finish.
