Description
This rare limited-edition single malt was aged entirely in traditional oak whisky casks for more than twenty years before been reassigned for a further cycle of maturation in casks formally used in the production of Portuguese, fortified Madeira wine. It was sampled regularly by the Balvenie Malt Master- David Stewart (who this year celebrated a remarkable 53rd year in the business) to ensure that just the right amount of character is imparted by the Madeira casks.
