Belle Meade Bourbon Cask Strength Reserve is a premium full strength whiskey created to quench the growing demand for well-aged, higher proof bourbon. They taste every barrel in their inventory and reserve the ones that taste good enough to be a Single Barrel but don’t have a high enough proof to be a Single Barrel. They batch these reserve barrels with others barrels in therir inventory that raise the proof of the batch while accentuating the flavors of those reserve barrels. When blended together, these barrels of well-aged bourbon create a product that is greater than the sum of its individual parts. Each small batch of their Reserve is just seven barrels of high rye content whiskey ranging in age from 7-11 years old. Reserve is a bold bourbon for those who appreciate whiskey straight from the barrel. Try it neat, on the rocks, with a splash of water, or use it to kick the flavor of your favorite cocktail up a few notches.
Belle Meade Bourbon Cask Strength Reserve Whiskey Tasting Notes
Nose: Smells of a county fair—candy apples, peanuts, caramel, spiced cookies, and old barn boards, redolent with maturity and complexity.
Palate: Cinnamon Red Hots, grape soda, blackberry candy, chocolate-covered caramels, candy apple, and roasted corn,with lush oak.
Finish: Peppery finish of cherry cola and roasted pecans.

Nelson’s Green Brier Distillery is a producer of Tennessee whiskey and other spirits that was launched in 2011 and began operating a distillery in 2014 in Nashville, Tennessee.
