Description
This limited edition bottling celebrates the ancient and historic seat of Clan Mackenzie and is the second in a series crafted by Master Distiller Richard Paterson in homage to Clan Mackenzie. It honours the Clan and Castle Leod has been home to the Caberfeidh, Chief of the Clan Mackenzie, since 1606 and is located just 14 miles from the The Dalmore Distillery. Initially matured in American white oak and Spanish sherry wood, it then spends a final 18 months in barriques from a legendary first cru classe Bordeaux Chateau.
A very special wine-finished Dalmore released as a follow-up to 2010 s Mackenzie bottling, and with the same mission – to raise money for the upkeep of Castle Leod, the Mackenzie clan s ancestral seat.
